The Nukeproof Mega is an enduro bike built on the tenets of balance, predictability, and absolute speed, purpose-built to conquer the legendary Megavalanche race.
Originally conceived as the downhiller's trail bike, the Mega spawned a new category of bike known as Enduro. Over the past decade, the Mega has earned its reputation as a race-winning machine, with multiple Enduro World Series stage wins and four overall EWS titles to its name. It is the evolution of relentless development and refinement, shaped by the feedback of world-class racers and dedicated riders alike. Now in its fourth generation, every detail of the Mega has been optimised for speed, control, and efficiency, built to go flat-out wherever the trail leads.
The latest Nukeproof Mega is built around a full T700/T800 UD carbon frame, engineered to provide the optimal balance of stiffness, strength, weight, and vertical compliance. Each section uses a specific lay-up tailored to the loads it experiences while riding. The front triangle is designed for maximum torsional stiffness and precision at high speed, while the carbon rear triangle delivers controlled flex to maintain grip and traction on rough or off-camber terrain. By using targeted fibre orientation and variable wall thicknesses, the engineers refined the frame’s spring characteristics and reduced unsprung mass, resulting in faster suspension response and more accurate wheel control. The outcome is a structure that climbs efficiently and descends with stability and control, a purely functional and technologically balanced platform developed for the toughest enduro conditions.
The Nukeproof Mega has been refined to deliver a precise balance of stability, predictability, and speed. Built around Nukeproof’s latest Horst link suspension, the kinematics are set up to be supple off the top for small bump sensitivity, with firm mid-stroke support for cornering and pumping, and a progressive end stroke that maintains control on bigger impacts. Anti-squat levels are optimised to keep pedalling efficient on climbs while preserving a lively and planted feel on descents. The geometry follows Nukeproof’s Long, Low, Slack, and Steep philosophy. Each frame size uses a dynamic saddle offset and size-specific seat tube angles to place the rider in an efficient and comfortable pedalling position. The result is a chassis that climbs with precision, descends with confidence, and remains balanced at race pace, ready to perform between the tape and on every other trail.
Features:
- Front triangle fits a full size 750 ml bottle.
- Accessory mount under the top tube for tools or spares.
- Frame provides mud clearance for tyres up to 6.6cm (2.6").
- Uses MAX bearings throughout for smooth operation in all weather.
- Service access is simple thanks to accessible hardware, sensible Allen key sizes, laser etched torque markings, and tube-in-tube internal cable routing.
- 3D contoured rubber guards on the down tube, seatstays, and chainstays protect key areas from impacts and chain noise.
