| Style | A really lightweight bike won't win races on its own. But it's a good starting point. For the junior whippet in your family, the Elite 240 C:62 SL ticks all the right boxes. Its lightweight carbon frame and fork â€" perfectly proportioned for smaller riders â€" are just the beginning. We chose light, tough Newmen wheels and ultra-light Schwalbe Aerothan inner tubes for quick acceleration. Powered them with a CUBE Action Rookies crank and Sram GX 1x11 transmission. And added child-proportioned handlebars, grips and brake levers â€" connected to powerful Magura MT8 Pro hydraulic discs â€" for perfect race day control, whatever the conditions. All that's left is to pedal... and win! No half-measures, even for our junior bikes. That's why the Acid 260 uses the same mechanically formed, double-butted, heat-treated 6061 aluminium tubes as our adult range. Combined with our Agile Ride Geometry, it makes for a frame that'll allow you child's skills to develop as their confidence grows. And there's a replaceable gear hanger too, so that a crash needn't be the end of the world. |
