Customer Information & What We Do With It?

How We Obtain Information?

Most of the customer information is obtained at the till points in one of our 3 stores when purchasing goods. We need contact information if you are making a part/Bicycle order. Or if you are having a repair done. We also get some information from demo days, charity events and our web site. But only if the customer is happy to provide it.

Why Do We Collect Customer Data?

Again the main reason is for the till point, to provide the customer a back up receipt on our system. This can be used in case or warranty, Insurance or just checking previusly purchased parts.

We need an address to set up a customer profile "WE DO NOT POST ANYTHING! Unless requested by a customer" If we are working on a customers bike or processing a repair, We need 2 forms of communication either phone numbers or email address. This is just incase one is wrong or out of order.

What Do We Do With Customer Data?

The only thing we currently do with customer data is send Promotional emails. We will only do this if the customer has said it is ok. These emails are done in the store (mostly by Chris at the Burnley Branch).

We hate like SPAM just as much as the next person, So we are currently trying to stream line our emails so you only recive content that is relevant to you. We will make sure we don't flood you with emails either. We will never send you more than 2 emails per week on average.

Don't Want Your Data Stored?

That is absolutely fine, Just get in touch and we can remove all data, partial data, what ever you want. We will still need contact information when purchasing a bike, ordering a part or repairing a bike. But this can be deleted on completion of the transaction. Just let us know by either calling us, emailing us or coming to see us in store.

26th May Update GDPR

On The 26th of May we reset every customer profile stores till system to "No" in the "I do not wish to recieve marketing emails. Only the emails that clicked yes on our confirmation email have been saved on our mailing list. We will still ask in store "when we have discounts would you like an email" if you have said yes, your name will be re-added to the mailing list. This setting can be changed by request at any time. Your Name can be removed from the mailing list on request at any time.
