We’re excited to announce that On Yer Bike will be stocking Megamo bikes, including the ground breaking Reason EMTB, equipped with the revolutionary DJI Avinox motor, as well as Megamo’s superb gravel and road bikes.
Even better: before December 2025, we’ll have a demo fleet of the new Reason CRB 160 DJI bikes available for customers to ride and experience first-hand.

Megamo: Proven Performance, Next-Level Innovation
Megamo is no stranger to serious mountain biking. Known for its XCM race team and Cape Epic exploits, the brand has built a reputation for performance-driven design. With the launch of the Reason EMTB, Megamo becomes another third-party bike maker to integrate the lightweight, high-power DJI Avinox motor, a move that’s already turning heads across the MTB world.
The Megamo Reason: One Frame, Four Options
Megamo describes the Reason as “Laying the foundation for a new era of MTB”. Riders can choose from 140mm or 160mm travel options, with the innovative Flip Chip system allowing quick geometry adjustments:
- Reason 160/160 (Enduro) – 160mm fork and shock, Flip Chip in LOW for aggressive descents and maximum stability.
- Reason 140/140 (Trail) – lighter and more versatile, Flip Chip in HIGH for better pedaling efficiency and climbing.
The Flip Chip system gives riders the flexibility to adapt their setup to terrain, style, or mood, all from a single frame platform.

Carbon or Alloy? Both.
At launch, the Reason comes in carbon (CRB) and alloy (AL) frames across both travel categories.
- Carbon models (CRB) include the flagship Reason CRB 01, boasting SRAM XX AXS, Fox Factory Kashima suspension, and DT Swiss 1501 HXC 30 wheels.
- Alloy models (AL) deliver the same DNA and geometry options at a more accessible price point.
The lighter 140mm travel bikes carry the Reason Air name, available in both carbon and alloy.
Weights & Comparisons
- The heaviest 160mm carbon Reason weighs in at 21.4kg.
- For comparison, a Specialized S-Works Levo (160/150mm) in size S4 tips the scales at 23.58kg.
- Alloy versions range from 20.5kg to 22.6kg, depending on travel and spec.
This weight-to-performance balance paired with the Avinox motor makes the Reason a serious contender against established e-MTB heavyweights.

Battery & Power: No Compromises
Every Reason EMTB (except the ultra-lightweight Air Crb 00 600) is fitted with a massive 800Wh battery as standard — regardless of frame material or spec level.
While many brands reserve larger batteries for premium builds, Megamo ensures that every rider benefits from maximum range and power. Combined with the DJI Avinox motor, this means more miles, more elevation, and more fun on the trail.
Pricing & Range (The Important Part)
At launch, the Reason lineup covers a wide spectrum, ensuring something for every serious rider:
- (Highest Carbon Spec) Reason CRB 01 (160mm) – £11,999
- Entry-level carbon models – from £5,999
- (Highest Alloy Spec) Reason AL 03 – £6,999
- (Entry alloy builds) Reason AL – from £4,999!
