Bike Maintenance Tips

If you want your bike to last and you want to get the most out of it fun-wise, you need to look after it. That means spending a couple of hours a month - yes, that's all it takes - checking that everything is working and keeping it all clean and lubricated. After all, you don't want the wheel to suddenly fall off half-way down a steep hill!


Tyres are the only thing that are touching the ground so you should have confidence that they are going to not let you down, this involves inspecting tyre pressures, wear and even for rips.


Your bike needs cleaning regularly to stop it from seizing, muc-off is a great degreaser and bike wash. Remember though to keep that chain lubricated to prevent rusting. Your seat post also requires grease to stop it seizing in the frame to frequently move that post to stop this.

Wear and tear

Checking for wear on your drivetrain, tyres, tyres, pads and rims is recommended. Catch the problem early before it fails and you end up with a massive bill.
